2008 History Stafford's Stonemaster
Stafford's Stonemaster was established in 1986. I started doing the stonework landscaping from the back of my pick-up truck. I had no equipment except a heavy duty, beat up wheel barrow. If I needed a tractor or skidsteer loader, I had to rent one. Most of my projects were from word of mouth. As my reputation as a stone layer grew, so did my company, and pretty quickly I was very busy. I acquired all the equipment, trucks, loaders, stone saws, chisels, bars, shovels, picks, etc. to be a complete stone landscaping business. My dream of working for myself, doing something I loved came true.
Efficiency, quality, a good work ethic, honesty and the ability to solve problem areas, has kept my customers happy and asking for more. Save the customer money. Working with the home owners directly and listening to their plan is important. Helping to design and make their visions come true is our goal.
I find myself 22 years later, looking forward to each new challenge and project. Looking at a landscape and designing an inviting new entrance to your home is rewarding. To then be able to create and construct the vision of your new stonewall or walkway or patio is very satisfying. We take great pride in each job. Whatever the stone project is, if you can imagine it, we can build it.
Stone landscaping is an art. Those that can do it, get to work outside, using natural materials such as granite, fieldstone, and clay brick pavers. You work with sunny New England blue summer skies, soft Autumn breezes, that carry your song of joy while you create. Soon it doesn't seem like work at all and you feel satisfied.
